Description
The Hamoki EF-131V is a single-tank countertop electric fryer holding 8 litres of oil, sized for cafes, takeaways, pubs and food trucks that need reliable fried output without giving up floor space to a freestanding unit.
It runs from one standard 13 amp socket at 3 kW, so it can be sited anywhere there is a spare socket and a stable worktop. An EGO thermostat holds the set temperature anywhere between 50 and 190 C and cuts the heater once it is reached, which keeps oil from overheating and degrading between batches.

- What electrical supply does this fryer need?
- A single standard 13 amp socket. The unit is rated 3 kW and supplied with a 13 amp plug, so no hard wiring or special circuit is required, though it should not share a socket with other high-draw equipment.
- What is the difference between oil capacity and tank capacity?
- Oil capacity is how much oil you actually fill the fryer with in use. Tank capacity is the total volume of the vessel, which is larger to leave headroom for the oil to rise when food is lowered in. Always fill to the oil capacity mark, never to the top of the tank.
- What can it cook?
- Fresh or frozen chips, fish fillets, sausages, chicken nuggets, breaded items and similar fried products. A single 8 litre tank suits a steady service rather than continuous peak output.
- Does it have a drain tap?
- Yes. An integrated drain tap lets you empty the oil down into a container rather than lifting and tipping a hot, full tank, which is both safer and faster at cleaning-down time.
- Should I choose the single or twin tank version?
- Choose the single tank EF-131V if you fry one type of product, and the twin tank EF-132V if you need to keep strongly flavoured items such as fish or garlic mushrooms out of the oil used for chips. The twin also needs two 13 amp sockets rather than one.
